Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The entire team at Hobe Lake Ski Club in South Florida wishes you a very happy and peaceful holiday season and a prosperous 2019!

Wim and Steve MannSteve Mann ran the course for the second time ever at 68 years old and his wife Mickey captured it all. If there ever was a waterski ‘feel good’ video, this is probably it and we want to share it with you.

Enjoy the video and a big thumbs up to Mickey, Steve, and all our skiers that made 2018 so memorable.

We look forward to continue working with and for you in the new year!

Wonderful ski weather continues!

Father and son Bud and Buddy Howard from Jupiter, Florida took advantage of the warm temperatures and great conditions to learn some new skills on the water.

Bud completed a full pass in the slalom course for the first time! Buddy got up on one ski, crossed the wakes and made the turn at the end of the lake.

We Cancelled Winter This Year

We cancelled winter this year…

This week, the skiing has been fantastic!

Here on the Treasure Coast we’re now enjoying daytime high temperatures in the upper 80s, with nighttime lows in the lower 70s with moderate winds. The water feels so nice that we don’t want to leave the lake after skiing. We found time for playing and jumping off the dock earlier today. See what we mean »

Everybody is having a good time here at Hobe Lake so come and join us over the next few months…

We promise to try our best to keep winter away this year! 😉

The Perfect Morning

This was one of those perfect mornings at Hobe Lake. There was a slight head and tail wind, beautiful blue skies, a few puffy clouds—ideal skiing conditions. I had to pinch myself as a reminder about how lucky we are to be part of such a great sport.

blue sky, puffy clouds over ski boatObviously, water skiing in itself is fantastic but there is so much more to this game—the time we spend outdoors, the friendships that evolve and all the good times we have are some of my favorites…

Fun! This is probably number one for me. Even though we take skiing very seriously and are on a constant quest to get better, reminding ourselves that we all started this because we truly enjoy water skiing can help in times when things are not going as well, and it can keep us from taking things too seriously.

Keep ripping it up! We’ll see you at the lake!
